Founder, Executive Program Director

Tahnee Lam, M.A., Certified RDI® Program Consultant

Tahnee holds a Master’s degree in Integrated Studies in Educational Studies and is a Certified Relationship Development Intervention® (RDI®) Program Consultant and a Category A Behaviour Consultant listed on the Registry of Autism Service Providers. With over 21 years of experience serving the neurodiverse community, Ms. Lam brings extensive clinical expertise supporting more than 500 neurodiverse children and youth. Her work integrates Behavioural Intervention, RDI® principles, and executive functioning strategies to provide thoughtful, relationship-based, and developmentally informed support for individuals and families. 

Senior Behaviour Consultant

Aisling McGee, M.Sc., BCBA

Aisling is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) who has been with New Step Consultation Services since 2020. With over 10 years of experience supporting children with neurodiversity, she provides individualized support across clinic, home, and community settings. Aisling values collaboration with families and professionals to help each child reach their potential. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and travelling. 

Junior Behaviour Consultant, Operations Consultant

Isabel Chuong, M.P.Ed.

Isabel has been working as a Junior Behaviour Consultant since 2023, supporting clients and families through individualized, meaningful services. Her client-centred approach prioritizes each individual’s voices, values, and self-advocacy, and she is passionate about helping families build understanding and positive perspectives of their child. Drawing on her lived experience with ADHD, Isabel brings empathy and practical insight to her work. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her cat, Nori, and practicing aerial silks.

Social Skills Program Supervisor & Behavioural Interventionist

Kate Cheung, B.Sw.

Kate has over two years of experience at New Step Consultation as a Behavioural Interventionist and Social Skills Program Supervisor. She brings a strong background in social work, with experience supporting neurodiverse children as a kindergarten social worker and working with at-risk youth as a residential social worker. Kate is skilled in collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams, developing individualized support plans, and providing crisis intervention, and is deeply committed to supporting individuals and families with care, professionalism, and compassion.

Valentina Nguyen, B.A.

Valentina brings a strong background in psychology, has experience assisting with functional behaviour assessments and supporting individuals with diverse needs. Valentina also brings strong interpersonal skills from her work in fast-paced service environments and meaningful volunteer experience supporting children and families through hospital and community-based programs. 

Behavioural & Social Skills Program Interventionist

Shirley Kong,

M. Lis., M.B.A.

Shirley brings extensive experience in education, information services, and community support, with a strong background in both overseas and local settings. She has also worked as a Teaching Assistant, supporting children’s learning programs. In addition, Shirley volunteered as a digital literacy class support volunteer, helping individuals and families access essential community services. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking and spending time in nature.

Accounts & Administration Manager

Iris Wu

Our Accounts & Administration Manager supports families by managing client accounts, funding coordination, invoicing, intake, and program registrations, helping ensure a smooth and welcoming experience from the very first point of contact. She is a valued part of our team and enjoys travelling and spending quality time with her family outside of work.

Behavioural & Social skills Interventionist

Erin Yip, B.A.

Erin is an experienced educator with over five years of teaching experience in public and private schools and over one year as a Behavioural and Social Skills Interventionist at New Step Consultation. She has worked with students from Grades 1–7, supporting diverse learners through individualized programming and IEPs, and is also an IRB-qualified rugby coach who brings energy and teamwork into her work with students.
