Social Skills Programs

Pre-Social Skills

One-on-One Program

Our Pre-Social Skills Program is designed for children and teens who may not yet be fully ready for a group social skills setting but are preparing to join one in the future.

In a one-on-one, highly supported environment, participants build foundational skills for group participation, including turn-taking, listening, flexible thinking, emotional regulation, play interaction, and situational awareness.

Group Program

Our Social Skills Group Program offers small, supportive group settings where children and teens practice communication, collaboration, and flexible thinking through real-life and play-based scenarios.

Sessions incorporate visualization strategies, problem-solving, play skills, and situational awareness to help participants better understand social cues, adapt to changing situations, and build meaningful peer relationships.

How Does The Program Work?

Pre-Social Skills:

This program helps children and teens build the essential skills needed to participate successfully in group activities. Through structured games, guided interactions, and individualized support, participants learn to engage with peers, follow group expectations, communicate effectively, and develop confidence in social situations.

Group

In this program, participants work on a small number of shared group goals each term. Through a variety of interactive activities—including cooperative games, team challenges, collaborative projects, social coaching, and guided discussions, children and teens learn to navigate social situations, work with others, and develop greater confidence in group settings. Each session includes multiple activities to keep learning engaging, dynamic, and meaningful.

How Long Is Each Program?

Pre-Social Skills:

The program does not have a fixed duration. Most participants attend for approximately 2–3 months before transitioning to a suitable social skills group, depending on their individual progress and readiness.

Group

This program runs in four terms each year: January–March, April–June, July–August, and September–December. Each term consists of approximately 8–16 sessions, providing participants with regular opportunities to practice and strengthen social skills alongside their peers.

What happens if my child misses a session?

Missed sessions are generally non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled, as group activities are planned around the participants attending that day. However, we do offer a complimentary make-up session once at the end of each term.

How are groups formed?

Groups are created based on factors such as age, developmental level, communication abilities, social goals, and group dynamics to help ensure a positive learning experience.
